A movie premiere called Sunday Morning Rapture !! My friend had a small role in the movie and played the role of a reporter !! She did an awesome job !! It was really nice to be able to experience going to this movie premiere. It was a religious movie and she told me a huge church directed the movie. When we got there I realized it was a church I used to go to so it was really neat to see my old pastor there.

Wow it has been awhile since I last updated everyone. It seems like I say that with every post. I am still super busy with my photography and with life in general. I have had a ton of birthday parties to go to and if I am not at a party I am at a photo shoot. So ya that is pretty much my life in a nutshell right now. I am going to share some pictures from one of my closest friends Bella's birthday party !! It was Lot's of fun !

It was a slow start and now I am doing photo shoots just about every weekend and I love it. I am no normal photographer. I enjoy doing what they call fantasy shoots aka themed shoots. Vacation Pictures from Dominican Republic

Hello All,

I can not believe that 2 months have crept by !! Wow just a couple of months ago I was so excited about my vacation to Dominican Republic and promised you all pictures and when I got back I have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to share my pictures with you or my funny stories..lol !!

We had so much fun and the resort was beautiful !! I am sure you saw in one of my previous post how many cameras I took and boy did I have fun taking pictures with all those different cameras.

When you arrive you get off the plane right on the landing strip and the airport is like a huge straw hut it's definitely not like the airports in the states.

We went on a couple of excursions while we were there. The first one was the sand buggies. We had no idea we would end up with mud all over us. It was so crazy you ride these things in the middle of the road and over in DR you can pass people in oncoming traffic and they drive so crazy it was scary but lots of fun. We drove them on the beach and then down dirt roads which led us to a cave.

This is right before we walked down into the cave and jumped in cold water. The whole time we were walking down into the cave this dude was like you people are crazy they have snakes in the water that bite. I started to get nervous. But when it was my turn to jump I said screw it why not I am in DR in a cave let me do this. I did it and the water was so deep it took me which seemed like forever to get back up to the top and then I had to climb back up on a rope to get out. It was very adventurous.

I am back and it feels like it has been forever since I last posted !! I had a fabulous time on vacation in Dominican Republic and I promise I will update with pictures soon !! Four More Days Until Paradise !

The countdown is on and my boyfriend and I have 4 more days before we leave on our vacation ! We are so excited, I can't wait to just lay out on the beach and listen to the ocean and just enjoy some quality time with my lovely boyfriend !

I have all my clothes packed early because if I wait until last minute I would be up all night trying to pack and I hate having that sort of anxiety. The only thing I need to pack the night before is all of my toiletries. I also need to decide where I am going to fit all 6 of my cameras I am bringing on vacation. A girl can never have to many cameras...right ? Since I am all into film cameras now. I am bringing 4 film cameras, one digital and my flip !

Here is a rundown of the cameras I am bringing with me.

This cutie is the Fisheye 2 camera in pink !! Love it so much, I haven't taken any pictures with it yet but the pictures come out really cool..they look like a fisheye.

This is the underwater submarine case that goes with the Fisheye 2 camera so I can get all those cool underwater shots !

This is the Diana Mini En Rose so cute...very soft pretty pictures !

This is my Flip video camera have to get all those amazing videos where a camera just isn't enough.

This is my handy little samsung dual view digital camera...I love this point & shoot camera because I can take pictures of myself all day and I won't ever cut off my head !

This is my supersampler camera which has 4 lenses and you get 4 pictures in one. This is one of my favorite cameras because the pictures are just so cool !

Last but certainly not least this is my newest addition to my camera family. My Canon AE-1. This baby is a 30 year old vintage slr 35mm camera. This really takes some nice pictures. I finally tested it out and you can check out the pictures on my photography blog.

These are the fabulous cameras I am bringing with me on vacation and that isn't even all of my cameras..haha !! Crazy I know .. as long as I have my 6 cameras ~~CHECKED OFF MY LIST~~ and my bathing suit I am all ready.

Geesh time flies when your busy !! I have had a lot going on these last few weeks. The most important thing is I am done shopping for my vacation...yippee !! The countdown is on and I am preparing for island mode. I just have two more weeks and I will be enjoying the sun in Dominican Republic and I can't wait !!

In the meantime, I finally found a friend that was willing to take some time and model for me so that I can build my photography portfolio !! If you want to check it out head over to my new photography blog ! Show me some love if you just like to look at pictures from time to time ! I had a lot of fun and I think I may be setting up another artsy photo shoot with someone else this weekend !

Oh and I had a great weekend I went to a friends party and had so much fun and then on the way home I got a freaking speeding ticket for doing 52 in a 35 on some country road. I was so pissed because doing 52 in my car is like doing 35 mph ! I don't know how much it will be yet but I am just upset because I don't have any tickets on my record ! The cop was a real jerk and I told him I wasn't from around there and I didn't even see a speed limit sign ...I just feel like there is more important things happening in this world besides me driving at 52mhp. Give me a break. I can see if I was doing like 70 or 80 and weaving in and out of lanes but come on now, I feel like I was targeted because I have a sports car... I am so over it !!

Other then that life is great and I am looking at taking a film photography class in June I am so excited about it. I also decided to take a little break from making jewelry and redesign my etsy shop and come back with fun pieces so that has been challenging but fun ! I promise I will update soon.

Prince William and Kate

I must say I am really happy for Prince William and Kate. They dated for a long time. I believe it was 7 or 8 years. It has to take a strong woman to date a prince ! I think she has handled the press really well seeing that all eyes were on her for the last few months. They both took it in stride. I know Prince William has a long history with the press and his feelings about what happened to his mother must haunt him seeing that the press chased his mother ultimately leading to her death. However he reminds me so much of his mom and how classy she was !!

I couldn't wait to see the dress and then when I saw it I wasn't that impressed. This was her chance to really do something modern and just push the envelope a bit. I love the dress from the waste up but from the waste down I was disappointed, it took it back to the 80's for me at that point. I know she has guidelines to follow and it couldn't be anything normal in a since but she could have picked something better then that. To each is own she still looked pretty and it was cool that she did her own makeup !

I did like her second dress much better then the first one. It was still conservative but more modern to say the least. I personally think they will make it and they looked so happy and in love and I guess that is all that matters !

My Favorite Nail Polish

I love a good nail polish and I like it even better when it drys quick. I must say I have a huge selection of nail polish but for the past year now I have been hooked to Sally Hansen Insta- Dry nail polish !! It literally dries in 60 seconds with one coat. I usually put two coats on and it dries in 2 minutes. I love it because most of the time I am painting my nails on the way out the door so this is perfect for me.

The colors I have so far are lightening (yellow), sonic bloom, midnight blue, mauve it ( which is my favorite light pink color ), I have a peachy bright pink color and of course clear. If you haven't tried it yet you need to pick up a bottle. They run about $4.50 a bottle and you can get them at any drugstore or Walmart.

Spring Picture Fun

Boy how time flies when you are having fun !! Here it is April already ! I got my Diana Mini Camera in a few weeks ago and I have been having fun playing with it. They have all sorts of competitions on lomography.com and I have joined at least 4 of them. I am so excited !!

I must admit shooting with 35mm film is harder then I thought it would be. My first roll of film I got developed only 6 pictures came out. I got so used to the digital world and seeing the pictures right away, that it was weird not being able to see if you got a good shot !! That is the beauty about the camera. You can not think you need to just shoot and be free with it. So here are a few photos I have taken with my new camera.

All of the above photos were taken with my Diana mini and I am so proud of them. One of these weekends I am going to get lost in the city and just be free and take random photos !!

I also have another lomography camera called the supersampler, which I have had for years and I found it and I love the way the photos turn out. You get 4 shots in one. It's pretty cool !!

I love taking pictures it's so much fun. All the the competitions going on over at lomography has my blood boiling with creativity !! Have a great week everyone !!

I found this little site called lomography.com years ago and I rediscovered it about a week ago and fell back in love with all the site has to offer !! Lomography moto is " Don't Think, Just Shoot " ! It's all about plastic cameras all 35mm and 120mm.

I love taking pictures because of the beauty of it. I also love to share my memories in scrapbooks and that motivates me to always take a good picture. However I have become so used to taking pictures and then saying let me see it ! I am over the digital grind and want to get back into the element of surprise by using a 35mm camera. I haven't used one since probably 1998 and have discovered there is still a whole world of people that still use them and are forgetting the rules and having fun with it !!

She lives up north and I live down south so we try to get together at least once a year ! The last time we got together was for my birthday in November and that was lots of fun ! I wish I can be there with her to celebrate her birthday !

Apple Cake Love

I found a recipe awhile back on The Pioneer Woman that looked absolutely scrumptious !! It was apple cake and I had never tried it. I printed the recipe and I thought can I really make this myself ? I was not to confidant because everyone knows I can't cook as a matter of fact I hate cooking and I am one of the most pickiest eaters you will ever meet. So I did what anyone else would do... begged one of my parents to make it for me ..lol. When I got home yesterday to my surprise my dad made the apple cake just for me !!

and it was so good and with the ice cream it was perfect !!

Coming from a picky eater I was very impressed by this recipe and I can't wait to have my parents make me some more of her fabulous desserts ! I love the Pioneer Woman blog she is awesome and I am so glad she shared a wonderful recipe with everyone. Good desserts are hard to come across especially for a picky eater and this one was great so I am glad I came across it !!

Creativeness Overflowing

I am feeling creative today !! I have started making my jewelry for my vacation in a couple of months. All island inspired with a spring/summer feel ! I like to search the Internet for inspiration and use the natural stones and beads that I have. So far I made a fabulous pair of earrings with chain and yellow quartz, a lime green fresh water pearl necklace and this one....

(excuse the picture it's a little dark )

It's made with a natural chalk stone and white jade beads. It's very different from what I would normally wear but I wanted something that was different and had an island flavor. I will be wearing maxi dresses and tank tops and shorts all week on my vacation so I wanted something simple but with flare !

I don't have any pictures of the other pieces I have worked on this week but I wanted to know from my readers what you like to wear for the spring and summer ? While I am in a creative mood let me know by leaving me a comment and I will do a giveaway soon !

Another One Gets Married

My sister's best friend got married just a couple of months ago !! She is like a little sister to me and it's so weird to watch all of them grow up before my eyes and start another chapter in there lives ! The bride looked beautiful and I am so happy for her !! We booked a dream vacation ....

I am so excited that I am going to the Caribbean for the first time in May !! I usually travel with my best friend and cousin every year rather it's a trip to Vegas or a shopping spree in NYC we always make it a point to get together every year and do a little mini trip ! This year my cousin won't be able to go so we all decided to put our money aside and save for a nice vacation in 2012 ! However, I still needed a vacation soooo...

It's been years since I really took a nice beach vacation with out my family. I have been doing what I like to call " working vacations " for the past few years ! Working vacations like going to Vegas and although that is fun you still need to Casino hop and try and see so much and going to NYC you have to do all kinds of shopping and to me that is work. I finally decided I don't want to casino hop or shop all I want to do is lay out on the beach and listen to the waves and that is about it !

So my boo and I decided that we wanted to do an island vacation and let me tell you it's consumed my life for the past 2 or 3 weeks. Just trying to decide where to go. I had to stop myself at one point and realize that there is some serious issues going on in this world and I am worried about were to go on vacation ??!? So I realized I am pretty lucky if that is the worst of my problems..ha ! Anyway at first I really wanted to go to Curacao which is in the Neitherlands but they only had one all inclusive resort that got horrible ratings ! So that got marked with an x real quick.

I had to really sit and think where do I want to go because of course he left it all up to me ! So after many weeks of searching we decided to go to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic !! Whoop !! We are so excited about it plus I always wanted to go ! We are staying at an all inclusive beach front resort ! We have an upgraded swim up suite all we have to do is walk out the back of our room into a little garden terrace that has our own private jacuzzi and jump right into the pool ! Plus All the alcohol, food and water sports are included. There is six a la carte restaurants and 11 bars to choose from ! We won't have to leave the resort plus room service is included !! There is also a casino on the resort and much more!! May just can't come fast enough !! This will be our first all inclusive paid vacation and we are so thrilled about it ! We really don't have to worry about anything ! We booked a dream vacation !!

Birthday's Galore

Wow, how time flies when you are having fun !! I can't believe it's almost spring time and I haven't blogged in which seems like forever. The first few months of the year are always super busy birthday months for me ! So here are a few pictures I promised to update you with ! Celebrating birthdays with family and friends !

First up.. Sweet T celebrated by having a passion party and as you can see there was lots of toys to choice from ! That was a fun night !

Then my friend L celebrated all week long but this night was a traditional family dinner and birthday cake night !

Then there was my sisters birthday and we had another traditional birthday dinner with family and friends !

I love celebrating birthdays with my loved ones ! Next up is my dad's birthday which is next week already and I already know what I am getting him.

I still have to catch you up on all the things I have been doing in between the birthday parties which is attending a wedding, going to the Barnum and Bailey Circus and planning an all inclusive paid vacation with the boo !! Geesh that was a mouth full !! Till next time have a great weekend !!

What A Happy Heart Day

My Valentine weekend was so sweet ! This is the first Valentine I have had in years, one that really went all out of his way for me. We celebrated over the weekend and I arrived at his house and he had roses for me and they were everywhere! He had them on the table and in his bathroom and hanging on the wall. It was very sweet and he even had one in his car for me ! He made reservations at this really nice resturant called Joey D's Oak Room. The ambiance was very nice and the food was good ! We had great dinner conversation and everything was perfect ! I was pleased with just that. Well once we got home and I went in his room he had rose petals all over his bed for me with a basket full of scrapbooking stickers !

It was so sweet ! Everyone that knows me knows that I heart scrapbooking and I am always looking for stickers for my scrapbooks, you can never have enough and I just thought that was so thoughtful and sweet of him ! He also had a Hello Kitty card which he knows I love and it was a thank you card and it said thank you for being my Valentine ! I started tearing up because he actually thought about me and did something creative ! I like him and I am so glad we gave each other a chance to really get to know each other !

I hope everyone had a wonder heart day full of love... muah !

Jury Duty

Its been a few weeks since I last updated you ! I've been super busy with birthday parties & weddings which I promise to update with pictures soon ! However at this very moment I am bored out of my mind because I have been selected for Jury Duty ! Why me and they have assigned me a judge so I guess this means I have to go to trail. I didn't bring anything to do not even a book. What sucks more is I'm sitting next to this weird lady that keeps yawning and breathing heavy and blowing her nose and I want to scream STOP it ! Dam doesn't she know I have OCD ! Like really, yeah seriously !! How many times can you yawn ?? I could be doing other things ! Wish me luck folks ! I hope I can get out of this !

Spyware

I was listening to my favorite radio station yesterday on the way to work and I heard something that left me surprised and shocked for a couple of minutes. They had a segment on Big Daddy Spy Company. It is a company where you can find spy ware to spy on people. They have everything from sunglasses to men's ties, to cameras hidden away in a tissue box. It's crazy how much stuff they have for you to spy on someone.

What shocked me was they now have software where you can download on any cell phone and it only takes 5 minutes and then you can here every single conversation, text, email or anything that you do from your cell phone and the other person would have no idea. They were pushing the fact that this would be good for parents with there teenagers !! Let me say I am so glad I am not a teen anymore because my parents would have gotten something like this just because they were super over protective !

What scares me more is this would be perfect for those that like to stalk people. Like a crazy ex-boyfriend stalker this would not be good. It is just crazy how they make it easy for crazy people to get crazier ! It's weird they also say it's legal. How is it legal to secretly download a software on someones cell phone with out them knowing and look at there pictures and text messages and listen to there phone calls ? I don't know about you but that's crazy. That is why I keep an eye on my cell phone because you never know how crazy people are.

New Boo and Bling ...

Please forgive me for it has been awhile since I last updated you all. This month has flown by so quickly and it's almost time to celebrate Valentine's Day. Which might be looking good for me this year. I may have someone to celebrate with. **wink**

Me and the new boo have been doing so well. I really like him. It's almost been 4 months and we are having a blast. He is so sweet. This weekend we spent time together and cuddled and watched a movie and he made me a big breakfast ! He is so thoughtful and I am just smitten over him right now. Aww <3 ! He met my parents a couple of weeks ago and they like him so that is 2 thumbs up !

I have also been trying something new and blinging out phone cases and that has been fun !! They are now sold at Gash Jewels !

This blue one is for a ipod touch..so flirty I love it !!

So in a nutshell that is what I have been up to loving my new boo and blinging out phone cases !! LOL Muah xoxo

Cabin Fever

I have been stuck in the house now for 3 days !! Snowed in no work no nothing just TV and crafts ! Today was the first day I actually had to get out of the house and I went to Michaels to get some more crafts so I won't be completely bored out of my mind ! Tomorrow I have no work either because the roads are so bad and it has be declared a state of Emergency ! Oh joy ...right ??!! I was happy the first two days and now I am about to go crazy ! We haven't gotten mail in 3 days either and I ordered lots of crafts stuff on-line so I am waiting anxiously for it's arrival.

A million YouTube videos later and lots of time I have made my first deco den project !

They are little pocket mirrors and as you can see the tops of them look like whipped cream & chocolate icing with sweets on top chocolate chip cookies, candy bars, donuts and a little bit of bling !! I love it...I will have to keep it in a small pouch so that it won't get ruined in my purse !

It's pretty cool ..isn't it !!

Christmas Eve Supper & Christmas Day

I love Christmas time and the memories each year holds ! We had a wonderful Christmas eve supper at my sisters house and each year we traditionally have lobster tail and Filet Mignon. I don't like seafood and I don't care for steak so my sister orders me pizza every year..hehe !!

Then it came time to open our gifts and we had so many to open and I usually take pictures while we open our gifts but I was so excited I just took a few.

On top of getting lots of clothes, gift cards to my favorite stores,leather gloves, beautiful scarf set, fabulous purses and much more here are some of my favorite gifts...

I needed new speakers for my iphone4 and ipod so I was super excited about this !

Then my parents surprised my sister and I and her husband and they said by the way we have one more gift for you guys and we all opened the box and were completely shocked ! All 3 of us got ipads wifi+3g ! We were so excited and still are. My parents rock ! I love them so much !

Company Christmas Party 2010

I am a little late updating you guys on my company Christmas party which took place a few weeks ago. I was really looking forward to going because last year was so much fun ! I got a new dress which I thought was different from what I would normally wear and I don't know why I didn't get a full body shot because I wore the cutest ankle boots with it ! I ended up getting there super late and there wasn't nearly as many people there as it was last year ! It just wasn't the same. There was only a few people there that I really talk to like that and the rest of it was a BIG YAWN !!

There was a few people there that had a little too much to drink and I should have you tubed it but you know how it goes putting people on YouTube and they have no idea...umm ya ..lol. I should have snuck and took some pictures. It was quite entertaining and unfortunately that was the only entertainment for the night. I don't think I am going to go next year.

Jewelry Fun

This holiday season has been very busy for me at my Etsy Shop ! My friend and I have been having fun filling orders and these are some of the things we have been working on !

All of our hand stamped pieces are sterling silver and we love making them and as we continue to work we continue to grow in our craft. After the new year we will be taking more classes to educate ourselves on the latest techniques and that is always exciting !

Relationships Suck....

Why do relationships have to be so difficult ? I mean really ? The new dude that I have been dating for the past 2 months is now not going to my company Christmas party with me tomorrow. Why ? Because we got in a huge argument and we decided it's best for us to start from scratch and to be friends. As difficult as it was I think that is best for us right now. I am still going to go to the Christmas party and I am still going to have fun ! I do think that if we really get to know each other it would be better for us going into a relationship, however he has some things he needs to work on and so do I so it sucks and that's that but I am sort of over thinking about it. I didn't end up meeting his friends like we were suppose to but I didn't think that would be right after we decided to be " just friends " . He calls me everyday and we talk but I am not sure where all of this is going and at this point I am not sure we make a match. I am going to stop writing about it now because there is no telling if he reads this..ha ha !

Meeting The Friends...

It has been about 2 months since I have met the new dude or as I like to call him my new boo and I am meeting some of his friends this weekend. I am so nervous about it. He is dorky and it's cute so I know his friends will be too..lol ! But it is always awkward when you go into a situation and you don't anyone except for the person you are there with. Then next weekend he is going to my company Christmas party with me so he gets to meet my co-workers so this past weekend we went shopping so he can get a suit to wear next week. The suit is so sexy if I must say so myself **wink**!

It's sort of weird because we are now getting to the point where we are introducing each other to people we know and love. I am excited that we are getting to know each other and things are working out. He such a sweet heart and he is funny in his own way.

I still haven't decided if it's time for him to meet "the parents " and " the sister "yet ? My sister invited him over for Christmas eve dinner and my parents will be there which is in just a few short weeks. I just don't know, that would be a huge step and he is down for it but I don't know if I am yet or not. My sister keeps pressuring me because she really wants to meet him and whenever I am over her house and he calls me she grabs the phone from me and starts talking to him...she is totally nutty..lol !! So we shall see what the future holds. I will keep you guys posted.

Till then I need to get some last minute Christmas shopping done...and I mean last minute. I haven't even started yet...I am so late about it this year ..yeeks !

My New Crush Update

I hope everyone enjoyed there Thanksgiving ! I can't believe tomorrow is already December , my how time flies !

I wanted to give you guys an update on the birthday weekend I spent with my new boo the weekend before last. I know you all are probably scratching your heads because I have had at least three updates on my birthday. My NYC/ AC trip and then the Hilton Head trip which was last week with my family and of course the romantic weekend I spent with my new crush !! Hahaha I know , I know but hey you only live once, so why not live it up...right ?!?!!

The last update I left you with about my new crush was me gushing about how I was excited to spend the weekend with him before I left for Hilton Head.

Well I get there and I walk in and he has cupcakes sitting there on his kitchen table for me with a card. It was so cute because he actually attempted to make me cupcakes and this is the way they turned out.

He tried...I ended up having cupcake toppers is what I call it. I guess he didn't grease the bottom of the pan so they fell apart and he cut the bottom half of the cupcakes off and just iced the top...he is just too cute !! It meant a lot to me that is even tried. Plus they were really good !

Then we sat and watched TV for a while and he started on dinner. Now everyone that has been following me from the beginning knows that I am a picky eater and I let him know that in advance. For me to venture out and even try his food was huge for me. I requested something on the healthy side and he made it happen. He cooked a delicious spicy chicken, there was two different kinds and they were both really tasty and yellow rice and string beans and a yummy biscuit ! I was very impressed !

It looks good...doesn't it !! After dinner we drank some Sangria..which is one of my favorite wines. After that we watched some t.v and the rest is not rated PG....haha let me stop playing with you..or am I ?!!?!! LOL

Football was on that night and I was getting sleepy so I went to bed while he stayed up and watched football all night. When I woke up the next morning he was already upstairs cooking breakfast for me and he brought me breakfast in bed. He is just the sweetest ! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day but I only eat it on the weekends because during the middle of the week I don't have time to eat breakfast. However the weekend is a whole other story and I am so picky when it comes to my eggs. I like them fluffy with a half a piece of cheese. He made them to my liking which is rare because my dad is the egg King and he made them almost as tasty as my dad so I was so thrilled !

Everything is perfect and I really like him ! I am also thrilled because he knows how to cook because I don't !! I just bake from time to time. He said we will start having date night so he can teach me how to cook.. I think he is a keeper !!

Hello All,

The birthday girl is reporting to you live from Hilton Head, SC ! We arrived yesterday on my birthday and the weather is just right ! Once we got all settled in everyone sang happy birthday to me and my parents surprised me and got me the camera I wanted !! I am so excited.

I got the dual view Samsung camera. It has a screen on the front of the camera so you will never cut off your head when you try and take your own picture which is something I do all the time. I love it !

After the excitement of my new gift, today we went on a long bike ride on the beach. It was a great work out and now we have some down time before we go to a seafood restaurant for supper tonight !

I can't wait to eat Thanksgiving supper tomorrow and spend time with my family ! I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving and don't forget the true meaning of it all, be Thankful !!

It is all about celebrating my birthday ! I celebrated last week in NYC and this weekend I get to spend time with my new boo ! He lives in the mountains with really pretty scenery and he is getting me yummy cupcakes and cooking me dinner and we are just going to chill and watch movies. I am looking forward to it !

Next week is my actual birthday, Tuesday to be exact and that is the day we are leaving for Hilton Head for Thanksgiving. It will be fun ! We will be bike riding on the beach and just hanging out and of course shopping !! I love the holidays and I will be sure to leave you guys with an update while I am away next week. My NYC/AC B-Day Trip

I am back from my mini vacation to my favorite city ! I had so much fun on vacation with my friends and family. There is no better city then NYC the energy is amazing and you need that change of pace sometimes !

I had everything planned once I arrived and as usual nothing went as planned but that is what vacation is all about. The Borgata was so pretty... love that Casino !! There was lots to do there and the room was gorgeous ! I won 37 bucks whoop , but lost 50 ! I don't even know why I gambled that much all on the penny slots...lol !

I enjoyed spending time with my cousin and my bff ! They are the best !

We shopped,ate and drank and that is what makes a vacation ! Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to go see the play Wicked because they didn't have that at the half ticket price booth and we didn't know that or else we would have got them online. They said they never have Wicked or Lion King half off ...so now I know for next time. I also didn't see anything that screamed my name to bring back for my readers so I apologize about that but as promised I will still do a giveaway after Thanksgiving and it will be fabulous !!

Off to Atlantic City and New York

I am so excited that my birthday trip has finally arrived ! I am leaving early tomorrow morning and the first stop Atlantic City ! I am so not a gambler but I sure will be sitting at the slot machines acting like a pro !
Then the rest of the weekend I will be spending it in NYC shopping until I drop and I am really excited about seeing the play " Wicked " !! I will being take a short Hiatus from the blog world until I get back. I also didn't forget about my readers and as promised I will bring you something back and do a little giveaway before Thanksgiving !! I will make sure it's something super cute !!

I also mentioned in my last post that I wasn't going to see the guy that I was dating for a few weeks but we actually went out over the weekend and he is just so sweet and so cute that I really realized that I like him a lot. I just haven't felt like this about a dude in a really long time so I think I was sort of trying to distance myself from him but realized I need to be open to change and give him a chance. I can't wait to see him next weekend. He is going to have something planned for me for my birthday so I can't wait to see what he comes up with !

I thought I really like Wild Cherry Pepsi and the packaging was just so darn cute I figured what the heck and I bought it ! Well first off it doesn't taste like wild cherry Pepsi as a matter of fact it doesn't taste like anything. So it is safe to say this lip gloss is NOT popping !! Plus it dried my lips out and it has no moisture in it at all. I think this just might be for kids !!

Wow I can't believe it is already November. My favorite month of the year and also one of the most busy months for me. Not to mention it's also my birthday month !! My friend Pinky is in visiting and I am going to try and get an update for you guys. She has a lot going on and a lot has changed since the last update.

This past weekend was fun. I went on the third date with the dude I have been gushing over. It was nice but didn't go quite as expected. I don't know really what to say it was nothing in particular it's just he is a little needy maybe and just to much. I just want to have fun right now so I just told him we need to slow down. I am not sure if I want anything to serious right now. I am taking a short hiatus from him and will see him in a couple of weeks. That is just what I feel is right for now.

Next week is finally the week I get to go up north to NYC and AC to celebrate my birthday a little early with my bff and cousin. I can not wait, I am so excited !! I am dying to shop and I can't wait to go see the Broadway play "Wicked " ! We are also going to do dinner and going out one night so I am looking forward to my long weekend away next week !

I will bring you all something back from NYC like I did last year and then I will do a little giveaway in about 2 weeks. Since we finally switched over to our new product at Gash Jewels we are going to host a giveaway for a hand stamped piece. Check out the shop and let me know what your favorites are.

Birthdays, Baby Showers and A Date !

It would be wonderful to have an assistant to book all of my events that I go to every weekend so I won't forget. I guess that is what my iphone 4 is for. I am sure they have an app for people that can't remember there schedule..hah ! However I am happy that I remembered these events because I had fun.

First up...my young buck friend Bella aka Snooki had a birthday and she sure knows how to celebrate. She was popping bottles all night long ! She looked amazing and she was the star for the evening !

This past weekend I had a baby shower and they are always fun. My sisters friend that she went to high school with...aww where does the time go. I still can't believe they are not in high school anymore and most of them are married with children. I still look at them all as being my baby sisters.

It's pretty cool that my sister ( the one in yellow) and all of her friends are still good friends after all these years !!

My sister helped host the event and got crafty and made cake pops !! I am so proud of her for making them all by hand !! They came out sooo cute and super sweet !

Last and certainly not least was my date !! It was our second date this past weekend and I was really impressed with him. He is so cute and so polite and I am totally crushing on him. He took me to this restaurant called Cheeky. It was a Mexican restaurant that had these huge windows that are open to the outside so it brings a little bit of outdoors inside. It was nice and the food was yummy ! I also thought it was cute that they had wooden menu's !

After we finished dinner we went to go see the movie " Social Network " The Facebook movie and it was pretty good. I just joined facebook this year so I didn't know about all the history but it was a good movie. After that we said good night and this weekend will make our 3'rd date ! I am honestly excited and I can't wait to share.

Busy Weekend ahead ! Tonight I am doing dinner with some friends and then after that I am going to see my sisters in-laws that are in town. Hmmmm and then Sunday I have a baby shower all in one weekend.

First Date Update

Saturday Night was the " big night " ...a first date with a really nice guy. I was sort of nervous because it had been a super long time since I went on a date. It was crazy how nervous I was. It took me a few hours to get ready and I did take a before picture . I didn't get a full body shot but my outfit was cute. I wore a Kim K. style black blazer and a black tank and some skinny jeans.

It took me a minute to get out of my car and I finally got out and walked up to the front door where we were meeting and when I walked up he said .. " lovely " lol We played a little pool and then ate dinner and played some games. It was a nice time. I think he was little nervous. He seems like a really nice guy so we are going on another date this weekend. Thanks to everyone that wished me luck...because I survived ..lol

It's every girls dream to meet her knight in shining armor and ride off on a white horse on the beach in crystal clear water over looking the sunset...oh sorry there I go off in la la land again, as you can see I have spent lots of time fantasizing about "the perfect man ". I know there is no such thing but we all have our fantasies.

First dates can be so awkward and nerve racking so I took to Cosmo for some first date rules ! They have some very interesting tips for all my single ladies out there. However everyone is different. I tend to just dream of being with a nice man instead of actually taking the actions to meet one. I realized spending most of my weekends at home working on jewelry,making cards or scrapbooking isn't going to get me that horse ride on the beach. So I just let go and let God. I spent these last few months focusing on things I enjoy doing instead of trying to find a rebound after my surprising break up. Everything happens for a reason and I am so glad everything worked out the way it did and I am were I am right now in life. I am so happy and happy for the people that are in my life ! Positive thinking goes a long way !!

I met a guy a little over a week ago and we are going on our first date tomorrow night. As much as I fantasize about meeting "the perfect man " I hate dating. It's just awkward and weird and I get so nervous. I don't know why but I just do. I guess because I am a super shy person. It's weird because I consider myself an actress and I can get on stage in front of 500 people and be just fine, because I am in "character ". In a small social settings I am just me and I am just naturally shy. Is that weird ? He seems really nice and he has a since of humor so it should be interesting ! I don't know if it's premature for me to already be talking about going on a first date with him or not on my blog, (thank goodness he doesn't know I blog yet ) but if none the less it will be something to blog about !! Raise your glasses to me tonight for all of you that are going out for a after hours cocktail and wish me luck !!

Is it October already ? Wow where has the time gone ? I have been super, super busy lately and just working hard on my Etsy shop. We have re-launched the entire shop so everything is different now !!

The last few weeks I have had birthday parties to attend and didn't have time to update on it. It was lots of fun and I promise to post pictures soon !

Other then that I think I have a new crush..hmmm he seems to be really nice and I am excited to see what the future has in store for us. I will keep you posted on that as well. I hope everyone has a good week.

I love the new show on MTV called "If you really knew me". It comes on after Teen Mom and they travel to different high schools across America for a one day challenge day. They find the popular kids , the band geeks ,cheerleaders and whoever else that is judged in high school and they put them in groups and allow them to talk about how they feel in order to stop teen bullying & judging each other. The purpose of the show is to break up the cliques and to stop the judging and to get to know each other. It is a very powerful show. I wish they had something like that when I was in high school !!

If you watch the show then you know what happens when they break them up in groups. They start off by saying " If you really knew me you would know that .....and they go into there story..well this is my story.

If you really knew me you would know that I have been waiting patiently for my knight in shining armor to rescue me from the reality that I live in. Every single time I start dating again they end up being completely and utterly insane. I know that God has a plan for me and he will send me the right dude one day. However I am 30 and I am single again and it sucks. I would like to get started on having a family if that is in the cards for me or at least have a life long partner. So what is a single girl to do ?

If you really knew me you would know that I don't go out like that so staying home isn't going to find me my prince charming and my friends never have anyone to hook me up with and I wouldn't even if they did...bad experience.

However, if you really knew me you would know that I have a crush on this dude that is so hot and we have known each other for years and we have mutual friends and we have had fun nights together and we see each other from time to time. But I want to know how he feels and I want to know if I am just settling because I do not see my prince charming in my immediate future. I just don't know and I want to know. He is super simple in the fact that in all of these years we have never had an adult conversation about "us" I mean to be honest we are so different from each other I don't know if it would work, plus our schedules are so different. The only thing that I know is stuff I hear from our mutual friends like so and so said that he said that he likes you and this and that and its annoying. I wish he would just man up and talk to ME ! It sounds so high schoolish, doesn't it ? I mean geesh some things never change. I have to be careful what I say because you never know who is reading this and I know he doesn't know that I blog so it's not like he is reading this and if he did read it I don't know if he would think it was him...hahaha !! I am good aren't I ?

I am just going to let things ride like I have been, but the thing is now I am starting to get impatient and I want things now and I think that is the brat in me ...wanting what I want when I want it which I have that power over him but when it comes to communicating about our feelings I don't really know what's good ? I feel like a school girl. Do you remember when you would write on a piece of paper check yes or no if you like me ? Hahah that is so how I feel. Will I ever know ? Who knows... but we will see ! Only if he really knew me.

NYC for my birthday

It's Official I am going back to NYC for my birthday in November !! I can not wait, I am so excited !! Last year I went to Pa and spent some time with family and friends and spent the day in NYC and this time I am spending the entire time in NYC !!

There is no place like the city of dreams !! I love New York the food, the atmosphere and of course the SHOPPING !!

There is so much we have planned to do for this long weekend. first we are planning on spending one night in Atlantic City and do a little gambling even though I only do the nickel and quarter slots..haha !!

Then Friday we are planning on going to see a broadway play and it's a toss up between the Lion King and Wicked, they both look like really good plays . Then the rest of the weekend it's all about the shopping.eating and whatever else the city brings us !! Yippie !! Hooray ...who else loves NYC ?

A list of things you no longer have in common with your married/child bearing friends…and why you love them anyways.There seems to be a natural human order to how you're supposed to live your life: You grow up, you get married, you have babies.Well, I've never been one to play by the rules anyway.

I grew up dreaming of marriage and babies. I got married young, then shortly after, filed for divorce. Fell in love with someone else, and decide that happiness is all that matters to me. Babies are not in the cards for me. I personally love kids, don't think I don't, I just have no desire any longer to be a mother. I don't feel incomplete without a child of my own, and I think that most women who desire to be mothers feel that extra love in their heart, waiting to give it to a child.

I make no apologies for my childless life, even when some people don't understand it. Big and I are strong enough as a couple to live our lives as a happy family of two. Some people might think we live a selfish life, but I think it's more selfish to bring a child into this world just because you feel pressure by society to fulfill your 'mother role'.

I've reached a point in my life where about half of the people I went to high school with are married and having one or more children, and I get updated about them via Facebook. I see my baby mama friends a lot less often than I used to, but that's not for lack of trying to get together. Someone will get sick, and mom can't come out to play.

Here's how my life is taking the path less traveled.

- I get to have sex with the door open and don't have to worry about anyone hearing us

{ well, maybe the neighbours... }

- I've never wiped anyone's butt but my own

- My boobs are purely for show

- I try new recipes without having to worry about forcing someone to eat it

- We drive a completely impractical two-seater car

- Which channel is the Family Channel? No idea. Where's Skinemax? Oh, channel 185!

I deal with wine, and not whiners

- Big and I can pack up and take off for the weekend on whim

- My house is quiet almost all the time

- My purse is tiny has virtually nothing in it

{ no wet wipes, no tissues, no spare diaper }

- I own no plastic dishes

- I sleep through the whole night

- I'm not passing my family's bad medical history of cancers, heart disease, alcoholism or mental health issues on to anyone else But you know, I have thought a sippy cup could come in handy when I've been drinking wine...

But I love all of my baby breeder friends for things like:

- Getting to see their baby in an ultrasound or hearing their heartbeat for the first time

- Having an excuse to buy ridiculously cute tiny clothing

- Being their excuse to get out of the house and have fun

- I love to listen, so go ahead and tell me what you found jammed in the toilet

- Getting to be the fun aunt that their kids look forward to coming to see

You know work really pisses me off !! Why can't I be one of those so called " celebs " born into privileges and the paparazzi follows me around for now apparent reason ? I work for a super small company and they love to put you on the spotlight when they feel like it. I come to work everyday and deal with these phony people and do my job and leave work at work.

Right now my little cubicle is in the back of the office. I am away from everyone so the sups can't see what I am doing unless they watch my screen. Which there is a few people here that really don't have a life and they sit up and watch my screen and others all dam day long. I usually bring in some of my jewelry and make pieces while it is slow at work. I am not bothering anyone and it is no different from surfing the Internet all day or being on facebook all day. So I was told today that my desk will be moved to the front. Why ? Only one logical reason because they want to SPY !! I really hate this place and these nosy freaks I work with !!

This is why I sacrifice all of my weekends working on my jewelry so that I can get out of here and work for MYSELF !! I dream of the day I can walk into this place and throw up the peace sign and walk out !! Believe and you shall receive !! I believe with all of my heart that I am worth more then this company is worth and can give me. I need to me mentally challenged and I want to wake up and be excited for what the day has to hold for me at work. Don't get me wrong I am grateful that I have a job and it pays the bills but I want a career that I enjoy and creating things make me happy and fills my heart with joy !!

Say a little prayer for me that I finally get my break and work with people that appreciate that I am a hard worker !! I also would like to say some people I work with are my friends and I enjoy there company and if you are reading this you know who you are and who I am talking about !! Anyway I am going to press PUBLISH right now and let it be known that I am frustrated but none the less grateful for the blessings that I do have in my life.

Fall is about to arrive and I am so excited about all the stylish trends !! Everything from a chunky necklace to a really nice lower heel boot !! Love that because I really don't do heels like that so the chunky heel is making a come back !! This season I am definitely buying a staple boot !

We decided that we need to have a more cohesive line. My business partner and I have so much in common when it comes to making jewelry. The problem is we want to do it all and we have a little bit of everything in our shop and that is not working. We needed to either go with all staple necklaces or wedding or mother and baby bracelets and we decided to go in an all NEW direction ! I can not wait until we re-launch our site !! My friend L had her baby boy a little over a week ago. She had him when I was up north at my cousins wedding !! She was about a week in half early and all went well. He was 7lbs 8oz. he was almost 8 lbs a big boy ! He looks just like his daddy with the cutest little dimples and a cleft chin !

Harve De Grace, MD Part 2

I left off yesterday telling you about the craziness of checking into the Vandiver Inn and how I slept and the hauntings the first night. The next day, Saturday the day of the wedding was an extremely hot day. We got up early to go down and eat breakfast and the breakfast was disappointing so we left to eat breakfast elsewhere. After we got done eating breakfast we came back to the b&b and we were suppose to go down to the Baltimore Harbor but by the time we would have got there, we would have to turn around and come right back for the wedding. That was something I was really looking forward to doing but we just didn't have the time.

We helped get a few things together for the bride and just lounged around and took a nap and the wedding was at 4:30pm. The heat index was 107 % on Saturday. It was extremely hot. I am used to hot weather living down south but it was way hotter up there then it is here. The wedding was very nice and the bride looked amazing her dress was to die for !!

The wedding ending up being really nice ! After the wedding we were all so sleepy and laid down early since our flight left early the next morning. I was so sleepy I pretty much fell right to sleep with my iPod on. Then out of no where in the middle of the night and I don't even know what time it was something pinched my foot and I felt it and snapped my foot back real quick and woke up and screamed my sisters name !!

My sister came in and was like, " what is wrong " and I told her what happened and she just starred at me. I fell back to sleep with the covers over my head and all the lights on again and was praying for day light to come so I can get the heck out of that place. The next morning F-I-N-A-L-L-Y came and I hurried to get dress, grab my luggage and go downstairs for an early breakfast. Lots of people were up early and had early flights to catch so we did some socializing and we were out ! I swear the time went by soooo slow like we were caught in some sort of time warp. It was an experience I will not forget and something I never want to experience again. Needless to say I won't be staying at a b&b again or at least not that one !!

Havre De Grace, MD Part 1

Over the weekend I went to my cousins wedding in a small town called Havre De Grace Maryland. The town looks like a movie set from the 60's . I felt like I literally stepped into a backlot movie set in California where they have all the little fake homes set up. The town is right on the waters edge where the chesapeake bay meets the susquehanna river !

That is my cousin T who got married this past weekend !

My cousin chose a very vintage old b&b called Vandiver Inn that was built in the 1800's to get married at. The freakiness all began when we checked into the Vandiver Inn. I have never stayed at a b&b so I didn't know what to expect because I had never stayed at a b&b and never really desired to stay at one to be honest. Most b&b's are really old and haunted.

You see how old this b&b is and when we walked in it got a little crazy once we saw our rooms. I was in so much shock that I didn't even take a picture of the inside of the room but it was very old and the house had an older musty smell to it. I did have enough since not to stay in a room by myself because I am a scarry person like that and I've always heard creepy stories about b&b's, so I stayed in a room with my sister and her husband. We walked in and there was there bed and then a little side room with a day bed from like the 60's and no t.v or nothing.

I slept with all the lights on and my ipod in my ears all night. There was a closest in the other room my sister was staying in and a door which we thought led to another bed room. After midnight every night the light would be on and stayed on until day break. I even knocked on the door a few times and no one would answer back. Come to find out the next day we where all downstairs in the common area and I ran back upstairs for a second and the cleaning lady was in there. I asked her what was behind the door and she said that it was a long hallway that leads to another bedroom but its locked on each side. I said, "Is there is automatic light that comes on after midnight and stays on all night ? " She gave me a strange look and said , " no I have never heard of anyone saying there is a light that comes on at night " That was one of the many freaky things that happened and that really freaked me out.

I didn't sleep for the two nights I was there. My nerves were so bad. I felt like I was caught in the twilight zone. Then there was the wedding on Saturday outside in the extreme weather conditions. I will tell you all about that tomorrow I don't want to freak you out too much today.

Ok so it is no secret for all of those that have been with me since the beginning but I have OCD really bad I am the biggest freak when it comes to germs !

I have been in the best of moods these last few days ! I have just been doing things that I enjoy and it really brings me peace and happiness ! I am going out of town this weekend up north to my cousins wedding for the weekend, which is the only wedding I have this year ...yeah !! I have had a wedding to attend or be in every year for the past 5 years ! Luckily I am not in my cousins wedding I am just a guest !! Last year I was in one wedding and was a guest for 2 other weddings. My life in a since is like the movie 27 Dresses ! One day it will be my turn and I always go back and forth on rather or not I want to torture my bridesmaids and make them wear one of there hideous dresses they made me wear in there wedding..haha--- just kidding--no I am not--hehe !!

I got my little toes done yesterday with a hot pink color ! It is definitely a summer color it screams Barbie to me-- a Barbie pink...l-o-v-e i-t !! I also got my eye brows threaded which is something I usually do once a month...if you don't know what it is --find out, because you don't know what you are missing . I would never go back to wax or tweezers again !! Hmmm..what else I am wearing a dress I wore to my sisters rehearsal dinner because my cousins wedding is going to be outside and there won't be many people there so why not recycle..go green ! I did buy a new pair of sandals to go with the dress today because this sista can't do heals at all.. so I got cute flats !

I am going to start packing this evening so I won't be worried about doing that tomorrow night. I think I am going to be brave and pack with my smaller luggage piece, because I always over pack and I am just going to be gone for the weekend ! I will post a little something if I have time this weekend. What are you plans for the weekend ?

Who doesn't love gadgets ? I freaken love them ! I have a couple of new gadgets that I wanted to share with you all !!

IPhone 4 -- I upgraded my original iPhone for the new iPhone 4. I reserved it a week before I got it and when I went to pick it up a few weeks ago the line was wrapped around the mall. The local news station was there and they told me it was a 3 hour wait ! Everyone in that line had reserved the new iPhone 4. I don't know what was wrong with me but I waited in line for exactly 3 hours and once I got into the apple store I was in and out in like 15 minutes.

My iPhone 4 is all black and I love,love,love it !! Everyone needs to get one. The facetime is the best feature. You can actually see the person you are talking to if they have an iPhone 4 and it's like skype.

HP Photosmart Premium Touchsmart Web All-in-One Printer --super long title but I must say I love this new printer of mine..which makes for my 4th Hp printer. I have a weird obsession with printers and HP makes it easy to have an obession because they come out with a new printers like all the time..every year it's something bigger and better then the last one, which explains why I have 4 printers ! A girl that loves to take pictures can never have to many printers..right ?!?

The cool thing about this printer is this is the first printer that uses web right on the printer. I haven't updated my blog in a little over a week because it seems as if I am being tested in each and every way in these last few months. I was debating on if I should talk about it on my blog or not but I decided that maybe I should. I am now single, Mr.C and I broke up and I am so grateful that we did. If you have been following me since the beginning then you would know that we have known each other since high school and come to find out his whole entire life is a lye ! I have known him for 16 years and we dated for 7 years and broke up for years and last year before my sisters wedding he " confessed his love for me " and told me that he was moving.

Come to find out he had been living a double life over the past year and I won't go into detail but I will say he is the devil he is an anti-Christ...he has pure evil and hate in his heart. I don't understand how one person can be so evil and disrespectful ! I don't want to understand because I am a good hearted person and I would never think to do the things he has done to me over all these years and especially this last year. I am just glad that I found out now, what happened. What if we got married and he started living this crazy double life that he thought was acceptable. The funny thing is he wasn't going to tell me anything at all. God is so good because what happens in the dark comes out in the light !!

I am not hurting over this or upset in anyway shape or form. I was just shocked to find out that there truly are evil people that exist in this world. He was acting like Tiger Woods but doesn't have a pot to piss in and a window to throw it out of ! The nerve of some people. I don't feel like I need to put him on blast and reveal his name or get back at him because karma is a bitch and he will get his. He will get his when he least expects it and it will come back to him double fold. You can't live your life walking around messing with other innocent people's lives and thing that you can get away with it.

I am so blessed that I don't ever have to see him or be apart of his selfish ways again ! That is the best news !! I am now single and ready to mingle ! I will at least have some juicy stories to share on my blog about dating..hahah !

Craft Time

I am back to the blog world and it seems like if I don't blog for a few days I loose a few followers. What is up with that ? I often wonder if anyone even reads my blog ? Am I blogging for nothing or do people actually read my blog ? I ask that because I don't get a lot of comments for the amount of people that are following me. It makes me wonder some times ??!? In the next few months I am going to be making some changes to my blog and I can't wait to share.

Anyway moving on..I was so sick over the weekend. I started getting a cough last week and then all of a sudden I got a fever and went to the doctors and I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. There is something going around. I am back to work today and feeling better but still have a little cough !

Over the weekend since I was stuck in bed I caught up on some orders from my etsy shop and made some gifts for some friends !!

My First Sewing Project ?!?

I am proud to say I took my 3 hour sewing class last week and I learned the basics and I am no longer scared to take on the sewing machine. I must say the lady that taught the class was definitely a talker. She talked and talked and talked and we really only sewed for like 5 minutes. That is all I really wanted to do. She did however go over how to thread your machine and the bobbins and how to clean your machine, so that was helpful. I asked her while I was there what sort of needle I needed to use to sew my paper wallets, and she said to use a thicker needle. I got the needle she told me to get and I took notes and I went home and finally tried it on my own.

I dusted off my sewing table

and got all my paper wallets ready and..

I changed the needle in my machine with the needle the lady told me to get and I changed the stitch and went at it and this is what happened..

My paper wallets got all ripped up and the thread got all tangled on the wallet and in my machine...do you see all the thread I pulled out of my machine on my sewing table ? Yeah it was a hot mess and so then I had to take the bobbin out because the thread was all tangled up and...

whipped out my manual so that I can make sure I was doing it right. I cleaned out all the tangled thread and gave up on trying to sew paper wallets. It just didn't work and I have seen them sewn before so I don't know how they do it. I will have to watch some YouTube videos and work it out. However, I did have a cute little summer sweater that had a tiny hole in it and I sewed that up no problem. I realized last night that a sewing machine is just for fabric I guess ??!! My next project will probably be something simple like a pillow ! Ha !

Sewing Class

Today I am taking a 3 hour sewing class with my mom. I have had a sewing machine for years and used it maybe once or twice. My best friend came to visit me once and she is a master seamstress and showed me some basics but as soon as she left it went out the door..lol ! My mom knows how to use a sewing machine, she used to make my sister and I Halloween costumes but her machine is really old and she only knows how to use hers. So, I convinced her to take the class with me.

It is just a basic sewing class. The cool thing is, I get to bring my own machine so I can know what I am doing. I am not really into sewing but lately I just learned how to make wallets out of magazine paper and I am really just taking it so I can learn how to sew the sides of the paper wallet instead of gluing it. I don't know why it is 3 hours long, that seems so long to me. I hope I retain the information this time so I can do basic things.
I wish I had the cute Hello Kitty sewing machine pictured at the top...that is too cute ! Hello Kitty makes everything. I don't even know what kind of machine I have I think it is a brother ? Hopefully I will learn some basic sewing machine lingo and I won't feel like I am looking at some foreign object after tonight !

This weekend is going to be crazy busy for me ! I am so excited because I have some family that is in town visiting for the weekend ! Tonight I am going to be visiting with my cousin D and his wife and kids and we are all going out for dinner to the Cheesecake Factory ...so yummy !

After I leave from spending some time with them I am going to go home and finish getting things ready for the booth that my friend G and I are doing tomorrow for our jewelry. It is going to be a nice little fair/festival ! We have all our jewelry made but we needed to make some extra magnetic bottle caps..this will be the first time we are doing the magnetic bottle caps at a fair so we are excited to see how that will go over. We just did the normal bottle caps at the last fair and that was a big hit so we are taking it up a notch this time ! I was up all night last night making them. I need to finish them up when I get home this evening.

All day on Saturday I am working the festival booth with my business partner G and after that I am meeting up with another cousin that is in town for the weekend with his girlfriend ! I am not sure what we will do yet, but whatever we do it will be fun !

Sunday I will be resting and catching up on my Tivo shows !

Silly Bandz Craze !

My play niece is 6 years old and all she talks about right now is silly bandz ! She is obsessed, she gets me, and her mother and her grandparents to buy her packs of them every week. She even had me look up the website ! They have a section on there where you can send it for pictures of the week. I sent in this picture and hopefully it will get posted next week.

She currently has over 150 of them and it's to the point now where she doesn't wear them all at once because she has so many of them ! She gave me one that is in shape of a shark ..it's to cute. It kind of reminds me of the colored plastic bracelets that everyone wore back in the 80"s.. remember those ? Well these are the same, except when you take the bracelet off it forms a shape of pretty much anything from letters to fish to even a bikini ??!! Kids they love the simple things in life.

Weekend Recap : Baby Showers and Drinks

This past weekend was fun. Friday night I met up with some friends at Hooters for some good convo's and drinks. It was my normal group of friends, and there is was this guy that was there that I have seen before but never really paid attention to. We were all sitting there just chit chatting and my friend had introduced me to this guy which to be honest I forgot his name already and some other dude and I said Hi. Then all of a sudden he was like well I have a message for you. I just looked at him and said, "me " ? He said, "yes " !

All of my other friends starting looking at each other and just laughed. So I just ignored it. I then realized I left my phone in my car so I ran out to get it and I opened my car door and I was bent over in the car getting my phone and I turn around and that guy the random...was standing there and said, "Hi". I just looked at him like ooookay...and I said, " hi " again. Then he said, I remember meeting you 2 years ago at the Mexican restaurant around the corner from here and you were with S. I just said, Oh yeah. He was like I was trying to tell F and A to say something to you for me but they wouldn't. He was like you are really hot. I just laughed and said thanks.

Then we go back inside and everyone is laughing at me and I sat down and my friend S went to pinch me..because she is random like that and the random said, " get off my girl " talking about me ??!!! I just couldn't help but to lol..I spit up half my drink and all my friends teased me all night. It was definitely funny and if you saw him...you would definitely lol ! It was a fun night for sure and I am sure the next time I see my friends we will laugh about it.

Saturday I had a baby shower for my friend L. she is having a baby boy. We decorated with all things blue and brown. We had lots of yummy food, cake and petifores !

Little Kids To Grown

I am sure everyone has seen this video by now, but I wanted to share my thoughts on it. First off what is the world coming to with these little girls shaking there booties like this ? I remember when I was a kid my sister and I would make up little dance routines but it was nothing like this. Don't get me wrong they are a talented little group of kids but there is no reason for them to be shaking there little tales like that or wearing those dance costumes. My understanding is they were in a dance contest but geesh, Beyonce herself was more covered up in her video.

If I was a parent I wouldn't be having all of that ! What happened to ballet and jazz class like I took or even normal hip hop ? What do you think ?

Moving On....

These last few weeks have been pretty hard for me. Memorial weekend wasn't fun because I had to go to my grandpa's funeral. It was sad but I am happy that he is not suffering anymore and he is in a better place. The only good thing about it all is you get to see family that you haven't seen in a long time.

To lighten things up a bit. I would like to do a giveaway. Some sort of jewelry piece that would be fun for the summer...what would you like ? Let me know your thoughts !

I am also counting down the days until Mr. C my boyfriend moves to be with me. I can't wait. Things will be so different.and I will probably have more things to blog about...haha ! This summer is going to be fun and from now on I am ready to move and have happy news !

Love You Grandpa

My Grandpa my last existing grandparent was called home yesterday to the other side. He battled cancer for years and lived a long happy life. He was 86 years old. I am going to miss spending time with him and his laugh. He dressed up every single day, with dress pants and a shirt and tie. He never wore jeans. He was old school and I loved that about him. He has 5 kids and 11 grand kids and 3 great grand babies. He will be missed by all, but no one wanted him to suffer anymore. Just to think a year ago he was OK he started walking with a cane and was well enough to come to my sisters wedding but now he is gone to a much better place I am sure. I love you grandpa !

I need to vent about what happened to me yesterday. Now everyone that knows me knows that I like to make crafts. My life is full of passion and crafts and I don't have any kids or baby daddy drama or any of that. I live a normal life with passion and that to me is what life is all about. I came home from work yesterday and see that a certain person which I will not give any names went through all of my crafts in my closet which I spent over an hour organizing stuff all of my scrapbooking things, my card making crafts and my jewelry supplies. They went through all of my special pens and colored pencils and used these pens called Souffle Opaque Puffy Ink Pens and you use them to trace around the edges of for example a stamped image and it leaves a 3-d effect well they where used to write out invitations and they are ruined now.

I feel like if you don't have respect for what I enjoy in life then you don't have respect for me...am I right ? I mean I know there are people out there that don't have one creative bone in there body and that is fine but don't be disrespectful. She had the nerve to tell me it's not that serious it is just a pen well it is that serious because I choose to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars per year on crafts and that isn't right for some mindless fool that just thinks it's OK to use all of my pens to go off on me like that. She had the nerve to tell me I was snappy and I need to lay down . I wanted to say if it's not that serious use a f*** crayon or markers to write out your invitations, I mean really. Who are you to judge me on what is important in my life.

While I am at it, I minds well complain about the rest of my " friends " or shall we say acquaintances in my life. Lately it has just been negative people that enjoy gossiping behind my back. It is almost like a set of mean girls stuck in the 5th grade. I am over it and I am over the crazy people that stock my blog to find out what's going on in my life and decide play 20 questions with me...that is so annoying ! I started this blog because I wanted my voice to be heard I wanted to type what I felt like typing and not be asked more detail then what I give in my post by people that know me in my personal life. Fellow Bloggers, I know you understand. I do have friends that read this that are cool and leave me nice comments and then I have crazy folks that want to know everything.

I am 30 years old and I am at a point in my life that I am focusing on my career and I have no time for foolishness in my life. This is why I surround myself with a very small group of people that I consider my friends and some live far and some live close but people that respect, care and love me will honor what I do. Having said that, I feel better now. It's comforting to know as many as crazy people you come across in life for different reasons I always have those certain people that I confide in and that means the world !

Ruby

OK so who watched Ruby the season finale last night ? It was so good. I love the show and Ruby is so courageous for sharing her journey with the world ! When she started her journey she was over 700lbs and when the show started she was well over 400lbs and now she is down to the low 300's. I really hope she finds the strength to get under 300lbs and gets the surgery to remove the excess skin. I think that would give her the extra boost to take it all the way home.

The only thing that bothered me this season is that they really focused on her not remembering her childhood before the age of 13. I can understand that it bothers her, but she needs to get hypnotized to remember her past and I can't believe no one has suggested that to her. I even wrote to her on her fan page last season and told her to get hypnotized but she didn't this season which leads me to believe that they do that for the show. I do believe she can't remember but if you really want to know then you will find out and there is a part of me that believes she really doesn't want to know. The truth will set you free and with her food addiction she really needs to find out why she is the way she is.

All in all I can't wait until she finishes her journey and it is hard for anyone to loose weight and for her to do it in front of the world is amazing !!

The first one is Kimora Lee Simmons new baby boy Kenzo. He is so darn adorable !! I knew that Kimora and Djimon would make a super cute baby...look at them they are an amazing looking couple !

My second favorite celebrity kid is Halle Berry's baby girl Nahla she is so cute ! She looks a lot like her daddy Gabriel Aubry !

Family Time

I had so much fun this weekend. My cousin and her husband and little boy came to visit us for the weekend. We ended up reminiscing about old times when we were kids ! Fun Times ! We had a cookout with lots of food and wine...yummy ! They are just so cute and have an adorable little family !!

It is always healing to spend time with family. It is crazy how it seems like we were just kids and now everyone is all grown up married with kids...wow, how the time flies right before your eyes !!

Update on the booth....

I must admit I need to get back on my blogging game. I have been slacking off lately. However, I need to give you an update on Gash Jewels first jewelry booth we did at a little downtown area festival/fair. It went pretty well and my friend and I that make the jewelry together worked the booth all day long and we at least made our booth money back plus a little more. So we are pleased and we are looking into our next adventure.

The bottle cap necklaces was the best seller. We also sold a few other pieces from our normal collection. I am so mad I forgot to take a picture of our booth...it was set up so cute and we even got matching shirts to wear that says Gash Jewels and our website on the back.At the end of the day we were so tired it was crazy, but it was all worth it. At least we are getting our name out there.

Amongst all of that we got to work with our first bride. She has 5 bridesmaids and we got to design a simple pearl necklace on sterling silver wire, a custom hair brooch and beautiful fresh water pearls with crystal beads ! It was really cool to work with a bride so sweet and willing to let us do our thing and help her make her day special !

This week is no exception from week to week it has been crazy !! My friend and I did the little booth at her daughters school last weekend and sold a few bottle cap necklaces to the tweens but nothing from our normal collection and tomorrow we are doing a booth at Atlantic Station !! So anyway on in the Atlanta area stop by and see us at Gash Jewels !!

Just to fill you guys in my friend and I that make jewelry together are setting up a small booth at her daughters middle school tonight for there spring fling !! That is what they call it, and there will be food and little stands and jumpies and all that kid stuff !! So we made all sorts of kid jewelry this week including bottle cap resin necklaces and little rings,so cute !! I will take pictures tonight and post about it this weekend !!

I realized I haven't blogged in like a week. Sorry for that ! Time flies when your busy ! This past week has flown by and work has been pure hell. I left work every day last week wanting a drink and literally exhausted and I didn't feel like doing much. I am sure you all know how that is. Other then that I feel like I work non-stop with my normal 9-5 job and then with my jewelry collection. It's just to much going on. Then the wedding show my friend and I was going to have a booth at sold out, because my friend waited until the last minute to try and book it. Crazy, so we made all of this wedding jewelry and now we didn't do the booth. Crazy I know. But we are planning on doing a normal booth at like a small fair in a couple of weeks. So we are excited about that.

Other then all that I celebrated two more birthday's this weekend. I had a little kid party to go to and my dad's birthday in the same day. Sorry I don't have pictures but my dad forbid me from putting him on the Internet...hahah !! He is old school. Also my best friend's birthday is tomorrow to be exact but she celebrated it this past weekend. She lives up north and I wish I could have gone to celebrate but the tickets where way to much..I think because it is spring break time.

All is all it was busy week last week and this week will be equally as busy. I have lots to do and wish I had more time to do it. I still have lots to catch you all up on like my sisters birthday party last month and the ask and I shall tell post I still need to answer questions. I have not forgot and I promise I will get around to it. Hope you all have a good week.

Alice in Wonderland Movie

I went to see Alice in Wonderland last night ! I was surprised because even though it was rated PG it was very dark and twisted. When I was watching the movie it came to me like a bolt of lightning.. that Johnny Depp must be bi-polar. Think about it, he plays the most psycho roles. I am sure he has been offered a nice soft romantic role and he refuses to play it. That is so strange that he always plays these off the wall characters. I thought it was a good movie but I was disappointed because they took the joy and happiness out of the Alice in Wonderland that I remembered as a child. That is the only thing I don't get about all of these remakes of old movies is they take the joy out of the original movie and it always has to be dark and twisted. I did however get some inspiration on making an Alice in Wonderland inspired necklace which is all the rage right now. It is totally going to be destructed and sort of off the wall in a since. Anyway all in all the movie was intense for a PG movie so be prepared and this is coming from someone that has never watched Chucky the movie because I am such a scaredy cat ! LOL

Wedding Show Excitement

It's Hump Day today and the week is almost over. I am finally starting to feel better and my friend and I are busting our chops making jewelry for this Wedding Show we are about to do in 2 weeks. I am excited because you usually don't see jewelry vendors at a wedding show. We are trying something different. It should be fun and it will help us get our name out there. I can't wait to show you guys some really pretty wedding jewelry we are working on.

I only have one piece up on my site right now that is a simple fresh water pearl necklace with black cc spacers. Very Pretty and simple. There is more to come. We are hoping we do some networking at the wedding show and hopefully get to know some brides to be. We would love to start doing custom pieces.

It's exciting to come up with pretty jewelry for someones special day. We would also like to do custom pieces for prom's. High school kids always know the latest trends so to make some custom pieces for them would be really cool too. We are also doing personalized picture jewelry, which is so much fun ! I love making things it just gets me so excited ! Happy Hump Day folks and if you know anyone getting married or high school kids looking for a fun piece of jewelry please keep us in mind.

Neti Pot Works

It is just about that time of year where my allergies drive me crazy. I have to load up on claritin. That is the only thing that works but the neti pot has been a savior. If you suffer from allergies or sinus problems like myself you must try the neti pot. I heard about the neti pot on Oprah years ago. It is gross looking but I swear by it. It really does work. Now this video may gross you out. So watch it at your own risk. But I found this video on you tube showing how it works. I use mine all the time !!

Friday Night

I had a fun filled weekend and I just had to share. Friday night I celebrated my friend C's birthday and I call her my country friend, because she lives out in the boonies. So I took the journey out that way and she wanted to do dinner at Chili's so we all ate and went for a fun game of bowling !! The bowling was fun and we all got tired of getting gutter balls so we had them put up the guards..ha and that is when the game was really on ! We all did a little video message to C !

We played for about 2 hours and at that point I was up way past my bedtime but then someone suggested going to club ATMOSPHERE ! (Imagine me saying it "club Atmosphere " slow and dramatic with spirit fingers )That is when the night got really twilightish and funny ! So club Atmosphere was in the country across the street from the bowling alley and jammed packed with locals I guess. We walk in and sat down at a table and just people watched..it was quite interesting !

We spotted a dude that looked like Biff from "Back to the Future " with a face full of zits and then we spotted a dude that looked liked the wizard from "Lord of the Rings " so serious and he had the long white beard and all and was dancing by himself to hip hop on the dance floor...yes that's right...I have never seen a dance quite like it. Then whenever they would play a slow song all these people would gather on the dance floor and just slow dance like a scene or flash back from an 8th grade dance.

That isn't even the best part. There was this girl that had on skin tight jeans with a tank top and bleach blond hair...that just took over the dance floor. You know those woman that seek attention from whomever, well that was this girl. There is always one nut up in a club. Well she was getting off on herself...she was dancing all slow and off beat and putting her hands through her hair and flipping it shaking her behind and slapping it...yes slapping it ..and we all couldn't help but laugh..and she had such a serious look on her face. You would swear she was getting paid on Soul Train ..haha !! It got to the point where men started pulling up chairs to watch her. It was so funny and disturbing at the same time.

Well I saved the best for last..we spotted a gweedo up in the house...I promise he looked like Pauly D from the Jersey Shore ! I asked him if I could take his picture because he looked like Pauly D and he kept saying west coast and throwing up the west side sign with his fingers !! I was like wow..that was a mistake..because he wouldn't leave us alone. This is how the conversation went.

Me : " Excuse me can I get a picture of you, because you look like Pauly D from the Jersey Shore

Random : Ha Jersey Shore...West side, west side,west side

Me : " Um, Ok can I get the picture "

Random :

Side note : This is the random on the left and Pauly D on the right, don't they look alike ?

Me: Thanks for the pic.

Random : Hahaha, yeah..I don't have any friends, I just moved from Cali. west side..will you be my friend

Me: I am sorry to hear that...ask my friend A if she wants to be your friend

We got rid of him at that point for awhile, and then when he came back we had enough of the weirdness so we all left !!

That's a lot for one night..wait until you hear about Saturday night !

Still recovering from this weekend

I had the most interesting weekend. I had two birthday parties to attend. One on Friday night and one on Saturday night. I haven't done back to back partying like that in a long time. I am still recovering. I slept all day on Sunday and I am still feeling the effects today. I didn't even drink, it's just my body is real tired. I am going to fill you all in with all the juicy details tomorrow. I just need to get my head together today. Believe me it is sooooo juicy I have video too !! Ha !

Today is my little sisters birthday !! Wow how time flies !! We celebrated her birthday this past weekend with my parents and we went out to eat and came back to the house and she opened up her gifts !! We had a nice time at dinner. She used to celebrate her birthday all week long and now she claims she is to "old " ( at 28 ) for that and no one does that anymore according to her but yet she celebrated today on her actual birthday and she is celebrating again this weekend with all of her friends !! LOL I am sure it will be lots of fun !

Pinky's Surprise

I had mentioned a couple of posts ago that my friend who I call Pinky was in town visiting and we got a chance to catch up. I haven't done an update on her in awhile and I just had to fill you in. We were going to do another interview style video like I did in my last update but we didn't have time so I am just going to fill you in on the good news !

Pinky is adjusting to life with her NFL football player boyfriend. She loves the fact that she doesn't have to work and she likes to spend as much time as possible with her man. She does get home sick from time to time and misses her family and friends but she also likes the new city she lives in with him. Things have rapidly changed since she moved a few of months ago.

The last time I spoke about Pinky she was excited about moving and said she was all in on this relationship and even mentioned she wanted to get married. Well drum roll please..... Pinky is expecting !! She is having a baby and this will be his first baby and her 2'nd child. They are both thrilled about it ! She said it will be challenging because she has no family where she lives at now but they are up for the challenge and it will hopefully bring them closer.

She did say the team he plays for signed him for at least another year so they will be living there for at least that long. She is hoping he gets traded closer to family. I am happy for Pinky I think she is ready for this and needs this drastic change to in a since complete her.

Sick At Home

I took the day off from work today to get some rest. I felt pretty crappy for the last few days and to top it off I lost my voice. I don't know what it is. I finally went to the doctors yesterday and I pretty much wasted a co-pay because she said exactly what I told her. It was allergies. I am allergic to lots of things and I was dusting the other day with out a mask and some dust got caught in my throat and every since then my voice was almost non-existent. She said it could be something almost turning viral ..like a viral allergy and she prescribed some medication to take for 10 days. That was yesterday and today I am not really seeing a difference in my voice. I hope my voice gets back to normal soon, because I am going back to work tomorrow and I have to use my voice all day.

On a happier note, it felt really good to sleep in today and get some work done on my jewelry ! Oh and I must share pictures from when we got snowed in on Friday. I had plans to chill with some friends and go to the movies and we totally got snowed in. So weird because in all the 10 years I have been living down south it never snowed this hard. I am from up north and snow like this was no big deal growing up but to see it down south like this is really weird. We have had an unusually cold winter this year.

Freestyle Friday : Movies,blah,blah,blah

From time to time I do a segment on Fridays called Freestyle Friday. Freestyle Friday is just what it sounds like you freestyle whatever comes to mind. It's just my thing I do and if you would like to play along then just link back to me.

I don't know if some of you saw I posted a video answering questions from my ask and I shall tell post a couple of days ago. Then I quickly erased it because I was looking straight crazy !! So I don't know if I am a vlog kind of girl. I get so extra dramatic that my facial expressions are just to much. So I think what I will do is Tweetmic it. That is how I will answer all the questions and I will post that tomorrow.

Anyway I really haven't been doing much except making jewelry which my etsy shop is coming along really well. I have been sort of a bore which equals to being a bad blogger I guess. Yeeks !! Thanks to everyone that has stuck in there with me through this dry spell of blogging. Tonight I am going to the movies and I was going to see Dear John but I heard it sucks and the movie got bad ratings ! So my friend and I decided we are going to see " It's Complicated " with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. That looks so cute !

Other then that I have nothing else planned but jewelry making time..which I feel like I am working two jobs because I am really digging in deep. I also have no Valentine because Mr. C is up north ...I miss him so much and I can't wait for us to spend some quality time together. Our schedules have been so busy that it will probably be another month or so before we see each other again. Long distance relationships are so challenging but in the end it will be so rewarding. My dad is always my Valentine. He buys me the prettiest jewelry every single year. I love it !! Kim Verses Kendra

I am so not a football fan. It is like a foreign language to me, but I was going for Kim. I made it fun and about the wives and girlfriends of the NFL superstars. All I know is that Kim's man Reggie plays for the Saints and Kendra's husband Hank plays for the Colts. The reason why I was rooting for Kim and Reggie was because they just got back together and it would be nice to see the Saint's win. Plus I heard they never won a super bowl before. I didn't even watch the game but I was excited to hear that they won. Go Kim !! LOL

I know Kendra was probably upset, she is a huge football fan, plus it seems like her hubby is sort of goofy and it pretty much just lucky from going from one good football team to another. He must have a dam good agent because I really don't see any true talent there. That is just my opinion.

I know the after parties down in Miami had to be just plain wild ! I kind of wish I was there for the weekend just to celebrate spot. However I retired from South Beach many years ago. I used to go every year for several years and it was off the chain wild parties & crazy long nights, but now that I am 30 I don't think I can hang like I used too. I wouldn't mind going on an off season, when I know the crowds are quiet !
